The Head of a Trade Union Organization in Vladimir Did Not Pay the Salaries to 22 Employees

The criminal case was sent to court

In the Vladimir region the investigation of a criminal case against the 62-year-old director of a public organization accused of non-payment of wages to employees for mercenary and other personal interest is completed. According to a source of ProVladimir, this is the ex-director of one of the city’s trade unions.

According to investigators, from December 2019 to April 20, 2020, the head did not pay salaries to 22 employees. The total amount of the debt was 1.5 million rubles. The department clarified that the accused had a real opportunity to settle with employees, but directed the money to other needs. What was more important for the manager than salaries – is not specified. The prosecutor’s office reported that during this period the man was accurate in transferring the money.

During the investigation, the defendant in the criminal case voluntarily compensated the victims for the damage in 1.3 million rubles. In addition, the investigators arrested the property of the director general in the amount of 900 thousand rubles. The press release of the prosecutor’s office states that the man repented of what he had done. The Investigative Committee specified that the man did not fully admit guilt.

“The investigation has collected sufficient evidence, and therefore the criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to court for consideration on the merits,” reported the Investigative Committee.

The case will be considered by the justice of the peace plot No. 3 of the Frunzensky district. The indictment presupposes a penalty of up to three years imprisonment.
