In the Vladimir region air ambulance resumes its work. This was announced at a press conference on June 4 by Olga Grebneva, the Acting Vice-Governor. The corresponding contract was signed with JSC “Russian Helicopter Systems”, which provided services to the region in 2020.
Grebneva explained why sanaviation became available only in the middle of the year:
“Unfortunately, we went out to auction three times, and there was not a single bid. These problems are not only in the Vladimir region, this is a problem of many regions. Because if before the national project on helicopter flights was implemented in, say, three regions, then five, then ten, now the list of regions included in it is growing. The number of helicopters and the companies that provide this service is not growing very much. Well, it’s just that no one comes [to the auction]. Now we finally signed a contract with the same service provider we had last year. There will be flights”.
Recall that the helipad at the Regional Clinical Hospital in Vladimir was completed by September 2020. It cost the regional budget 9.9 million rubles. In just over a month, an aviation medical team evacuated 21 patients with strokes, heart attacks and severe injuries by helicopter.
In February 2021 it became known that another helipad will appear on the territory of the regional children’s clinical hospital. Grebneva confirmed that works on the construction of the facility are currently underway.
Alexander Zhestkov, Acting Director of the Department of Health, added that there are plans to build a helipad for the needs of the BSP “Red Cross”. But so far the logistical issues are being solved – whether to deploy it on the territory of the hospital itself or to choose a site near the Lybedskaya freeway.
The Vladimir region will continue to develop sanaviation, helicopter landing sites will appear in Murom and Kovrov.
