Vladimir Entrepreneurs Asked the Head of the Region to Lift the Ban on Catering at Night

Restaurateurs prepared an appeal to Alexander Avdeev

The Association of Hoteliers and Restaurateurs of the Vladimir region has prepared an appeal to the Acting Governor Alexander Avdeev. They ask him to remove the ban on public catering from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. A similar letter was sent to Alla Matyushkina, the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in the Vladimir Region.

It is said in the appeal that a number of restrictions for the sphere of services were introduced on nonworking days announced by the President Vladimir Putin. QR-codes for visitors have been canceled since November 8, as in the decree of the governor was spelled out the date of expiry of this anti-security measure. But the prohibition to work at night for cafes, restaurants and bars remained.

Entrepreneurs in their appeal to Avdeev and Matyushkina stressed that the ban for public catering to work at night will not increase the number of those willing to be vaccinated. At the same time the same anti-vaccination measures a year ago led to the cancellation of New Year’s corporate parties and the fall in revenues. The owners of the venues had debts for utilities and rent payments. A similar situation with the drop in revenues was observed last week.

Restaurateurs also pointed out to the governor that temporary restrictions on catering have been lifted in other regions. They haven’t been instituted in some regions, such as Tver region.

The entrepreneurs added that for their part they do a lot of work to promote vaccination among workers in the industry.
