Investigative Committee: Director of Kovrov Plant Sold Tractors Below Cost

Vladimir Investigative Committee revealed the details of the criminal case against the former director of Kovrov Electromechanical Plant. According to the investigation, from April 2018 to December 2019 Vladimir Lebedev, to the detriment of the plant, sold tractors to a commercial firm below the price.

“In December 2019, the accused by signing an additional agreement gave this firm the priority right to sell the products of the plant, as well as the authority to create a dealer network in the regions,” the press service of the Investigative Committee reports.

The defendant did not wish to express his attitude towards the accusation and used Article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

As ProVladimir has learned, in the near future the local Kovrov branch of the “United Russia” party will vote to suspend Lebedev’s membership in the party at an unscheduled meeting on August 17. This is a standard procedure that is used in the event that a criminal case is brought against his representative.

The former deputy of the Legislative Assembly was placed under house arrest in the case of abuse of power at the plant. We are talking about the sum of 30.5 million rubles.
