Hot days have led to the first tragic cases in the region. On June 18, a 13-year-old boy drowned in a pond in Semyazino. According to eyewitnesses, the boy dove into the water and did not swim out. The body of the child was then pulled out of the lake. Another two tragic cases occurred in the Murom district. According to the publication “Murom24” a 7-year-old child drowned in the Ushna River in the village of Varezh. Another 17-year old boy died near cable-braced bridge across the Oka.
On June 20 it became known about four men’s deaths. In Gorokhovets in Klyazma drowned a man born in 2000. His body has not yet been found.
“It is established that the incident occurred in the area of treatment facilities, where it is not allowed to swim. A local rescue station is working”, – reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A young man born in 2002 drowned in Kirzhach. He climbed into the river Kirzhach in a place not equipped for swimming. His body was taken out by eyewitnesses. A man born in 1978 died in Lake Staritsa in Vladimir. Another tragic incident occurred in Kameshkovsky district near the village of Patakino. A man born in 1974 climbed into the river Klyazma and disappeared. The body is still being searched for.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, since the beginning of the year nine people have drowned in the region, including three children. On June 20 there was an unscheduled meeting of KChS. It discussed the situation to ensure the safety of people on water bodies. Rescuers believe that the main cause of children’s deaths is the lack of supervision of minors by adults.
In the Vladimir region has already prepared 52 beaches, of which 45 have been surveyed by inspectors of the State Hydrometeorological Inspectorate and accepted for use. Municipalities are obliged to organize the work of lifeguard posts on the official beaches. Also, the authorities must take control of places of unauthorized swimming of citizens.
“Local authorities were tasked – to work out the issue of lifeguards on duty in all places where the population massively rests,” – reported on the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Also at an unscheduled meeting of the emergency committee decided to conduct raids with the police to curb the consumption of alcoholic beverages near the water. Violators will be brought to administrative responsibility.
The coming week also promises to be hot, the Vladimirites will settle down on reservoirs and hardly anyone will be able to stop them. At the same time, the city still does not have complete information on the quality of water in the ponds.
According to ProVladimir in Vladimir’s Mayor’s Office, so far no official conclusions have been received by the Orange House. Specialists from the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology took water and sand samples last week, but the results have not come yet. In addition, city officials are waiting for representatives of the center to come and examine the shoreline.
Recall that there are four official places for bathing people in the city: Semyazino, beach on the Klyazma, Sodyshka and Glubokoe reservoirs. Lifeguards are on duty everywhere.
