Vladimir Activist Ilya Kosygin Will Spend Nine Days in Jail

According to law enforcement officials, he interfered with pedestrians and cars at the rally outside the Pokrov colony

The court sentenced activist Ilya Kosygin to nine days of arrest. He will spend them in the Vladimir temporary detention center at 40 Polina Osipenko Street. This is reported in the telegram channel Kosygin.

Earlier he published a photo of the protocol of administrative offence drawn up on him. According to law enforcement officers, the activist “interfered with the movement of pedestrians and vehicles” during the action of doctors at the Pokrov colony № 2, where Alexei Navalny was. He was charged with Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code.

Remember, Kosygin was detained on April 21, hours before another unsanctioned protest in Vladimir. The day before activist Ivan Tumanov had been sentenced to 11 days in jail for the same action in Pokrov.

Kirill Ishutin and Vladislav Belyakov (brother of Daniel Belyakov) are also awaiting trial. According to preliminary information, they are charged with Article 20.2 part 8 “repeated commission of an administrative offense against the established procedure of organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, march or picketing.

According to the Vladimir Navalny supporters’ telegram chat, a total of 13 people were detained at the event (or, more precisely, at its conclusion). Eleven of them were released on the same day.
