Vladimir Maternity Hospital Deployed 60 Beds for Coronavirus Patients

The region has not yet reached a peak in hospitalizations for coronavirus

By October 25, the maternity hospital of the Regional Clinical Hospital had deployed 60 beds for pregnant women and young mothers with a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus. At the same time, 20 such beds were closed in Maternity Hospital No. 2 in Vladimir. The hospital no longer accepts women in labor with infectious pathologies, the press service of the White House said.

This change in the work of medical institutions is dictated by the increasing number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in the Vladimir region. In addition to expanding maternity wards, an additional five beds were deployed at the Regional Center for Specialized Medical Care in Yuryevets, not far from Vladimir.

In total, as of October 25, the region had 2300 beds for patients with coronavirus, of which 2157 (93.8%) are occupied and 143 beds remain vacant. In recent days the number of hospitalizations has not stopped increasing. According to information on October 25, 60 902 cases of coronavirus were registered in Vladimir region, 312 of them in the past 24 hours.
