Soccer Fans Are Detained for an Unsanctioned Rally in Vladimir

Detentions took place outside the stadium

On September 26 in Vladimir hosted a soccer match of the second division between Torpedo (from Vladimir city) and Shinnik (Yaroslavl). The game ended in a solid 2-0 victory for the visitors, but the main thing on this day was not sports.

A hundred and fifty fans came from Yaroslavl. They began an unsanctioned march toward the stadium along the main street of the city, disturbing traffic. The police escorted the crowd and tried to stop them, but the arrests didn’t begin until just before the game at the stadium.

The police specify the number of detainees, including local fans.
