On August 2, Acting Governor Alexander Avdeev commented on the region’s plans for the possible introduction of coronavirus restrictions. At the moment in the Vladimir region there is some increase in daily morbidity, as well as hospitalizations.
On Monday, August 1, 38 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the region, and in 11 cases patients required covid hospital care, according to information from the portal “stopcoronavirus.rf”. In the country as a whole there is also an increase in the incidence of the disease, in the Kostroma region and Krasnoyarsk Territory partially returned restrictions.
According to Alexander Avdeev, the situation in the Vladimir region does not yet cause concern and does not require action. At the same time, the Acting Governor did not rule out the introduction of restrictions in case of a negative scenario:
“The trend is multidirectional, the situation is different in different regions. A number of regions, indeed, have begun to experience certain complications. On the contrary, today we have lifted some restrictions, now I will not reproduce which ones, you can look at the recommendation of the Department of Health.
Now it is a hot period. The time when the infection can increase and spread rapidly. We do not record it yet, fortunately. We are not imposing additional restrictions. But, unfortunately, we will have to if there is an increase in the incidence of the disease, which will require us to make appropriate decisions. So far no such decisions have been made in our area.
Previously, the most reliable and timely source of information about the spread of coronavirus in the region was the statistics of hospitalizations, provided by the regional health department. Since July, the department has not published this information. In previous waves, the growth in the number of hospitalizations outpaced the changes in Rospotrebnadzor data, which were indicative of a worsening epidemic situation, by one or two weeks.
