In the First Half of 2022 the Income of Organizations in the Vladimir Region Fell by 32%

Vladimirstat calculated the profits and losses of local companies without inflation

In the first six months of 2022, the balance of organizations in the Vladimir region (profit minus loss) amounted to 43.9 billion rubles, which is 31.6% lower than the same period of the previous year, according to Vladimirstat. The agency took into account only the income of large enterprises, without making adjustments for the inflation rate.

In the first half of the year, 311 companies made 50 billion rubles of profit, and 141 showed a combined loss of seven billion. Meanwhile, the most important sector of the Vladimir’s industry, the manufacturing industry, saw a significant decrease in its balanced financial result. Here, compared with the first half of 2021, the profit fell by as much as 38.8%.

The balance profit of construction companies decreased by 69.1%. The volume of residential construction in January-July 2022 amounted to 723.8 thousand square meters, which is nearly 70% higher than in 2021. A significant part of the commissioned housing are private houses, and a significant part of them – legalization of already long-built property under “dacha amnesty”. Such houses are recorded in the fresh statistics, distorting the data on the real state of affairs in the sector.

Among the areas where losses exceeded profits in the first half of 2022 were finished metal products, electronics, machinery and equipment manufacturing, and waste management. Only 62.5% of companies engaged in the production of drugs and medical products became profitable. All in all, the share of unprofitable organizations in the region was 31.2%, increasing by 2.9% compared to the post-2021 period.
