In the Coming Years, a Thousand New Jobs Will Be Created in the Kolchuginsky District

The issue of rental housing remains

In the coming years Kolchuginsky District plans to create a thousand jobs due to the development of the wood processing industry. In this connection it will be necessary to solve the problem of increasing the housing stock, including the rental housing in which the company’s employees and medical workers will live. Work in this direction is already being carried out together with “Dom.rf”. This became known during the working visit of the Acting Governor Alexander Avdeev, who was shown one of the largest industrial enterprises of the region – “Vladimir woodworking complex”.

About 10% of all timber is processed here. The enterprise has successfully realized the first investment project on creation of wood processing plant with timber processing. The investors have invested more than 600 million rubles. There are 350 people working at “Vladimirskiy LPK”.

The products of the plant are in demand and are produced with a high degree of processing. More than 50 small companies in six districts of the region are involved in the cooperation.
The investors are planning to expand the production, but for that it is necessary to increase the capacity of the energy carriers and to improve the access roads. The White House promised to assist in solving these problems.

“It is important that it develops and provides residents with jobs and decent wages. Thanks to good working conditions, safety and culture of production, the team works cohesively, there is no shortage of staff. And involvement of personnel in the economy of the district is one of the main tasks on the agenda at the moment”, – the press service of regional administration quotes Avdeev.

In the near future in Kolchugino will be opened famous “unfinished” – the school building in the microdistrict № 1. Also the overhaul of the House of Culture is coming to an end, a large-scale reconstruction of housing and utilities and heating networks is expected.
