Federal Grant “Agrotourism” Will Be Spent on Glamping Houses and Landscaping In the Vladimir Region

Two enterprises in the region received financial support

Petrushino farmstead in Sobinsky district and Gribovo agropark in Petushinsky district will receive more than 19 million rubles. The decision to allocate “Agrotourism” grants to the two enterprises of the Vladimir region was made by the Commission of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Development to organize and conduct the selection of rural tourism development projects.

How the grants will be spent, said the Acting Governor of the Vladimir region Alexander Avdeev:

“The grant funds will be used to build guest houses, infrastructure and recreational facilities of the fishing site, purchase and install houses in the concept of dome glamping for year-round residence and connected to engineering systems (electricity, water supply and drainage), purchased furniture, kitchen appliances, utensils, and general improvement of the territory. Today, the development of agrarian tourism is one of the important directions, this kind of recreation is in demand in Russia.

The press service of regional administration adds that inhabitants of megacities are drawn to nature and want to give up gadgets and eat organic food for the time of rest. It is assumed that our region has a good chance to attract these tourists – both for the weekend, and for longer periods, as Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod are located nearby.

Agrotourism” grant competition was held for the first time this year. In the future agricultural producers of the Vladimir region, included in the list of subjects of small and medium-sized businesses, will be able to take part in it.
