Vladimir region and other regions of the “Golden Ring” will determine two territories with a high level of investment potential in order to develop a federal tourist scheme, attract new investors and create all-season resorts.
“In the Vladimir region Murom with its epic history and traditional agglomeration-connection Suzdal-Vladimir are preliminary defined for these purposes. Studies show that the main tourist audience is people from big cities. Traveling, they want different atmosphere. And they find it exactly in small towns which are valuable from the historical and cultural point of view and enjoy the beautiful nature. New elements of activity, necessary infrastructure for tourists and well-thought-out logistics will allow to “reload” territories”, – reports the press service of the Vladimir Regional Administration.
Issues of territorial and spatial planning of the macro-region “Big Golden Ring” and tourism development of the Vladimir Region were discussed by the head of the region Alexander Avdeev and the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova. In the meeting, which was held in the format of videoconferencing, was attended by Acting Vice-Governor Alexander Remiga, representatives of the Department of Entrepreneurship and organization-developer of the master plan project – LLC “ProGorod” VEB.RF.
Long-term project involves comprehensive development of tourism in the Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kostroma, Moscow, Ryazan, Tver, Tula and Yaroslavl regions. The main task is to promote existing and create new tourist infrastructure, increase tourist flow and create a network of interregional routes.
According to Alexander Avdeev, new horizons in the development of tourism industry and economy on the whole open up for the project participants:
“We see prospects in the development of all-season recreation, in creating new tourist infrastructure objects, interesting and comfortable urban environment. Due to the master plan regional concept of tourism development will be organically included into the federal one and will strengthen it”.
The master plan will be finished by the end of the year. The Master Plan will be finished by the end of the year. Zarina Doguzova said that Vladimir region has an inexhaustible tourist potential, but now it’s important to set the first level priorities and development focus for the nearest future.
The regional administration added that in 2021 the Vladimir region was visited by a million and a half tourists. 57% of them – Muscovites, another 19% – residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
