The Vladimir Region Exceeded Its Annual Plan for Forest Planting

In the rating among the subjects of the Central Federal District, the region ranked second

The Vladimir region ranked second among the regions of the Central Federal District in the volume of forest planting by the results of 2021. The rating for artificial reforestation was compiled by the Federal Forestry Agency.

In 2021, the Vladimir region planted forest on 3,810 hectares, which is 106% of the annual plan. Of the subjects of the Central Federal District, only the Kostroma region was ahead of us (5,049 hectares.)

“It is worth noting that the area of Vladimir’s forests is three times less than in the Kostroma region: 1.6 million hectares against 4.7 million hectares,” according to the press service of the regional administration.

According to the last year results, the Vladimir region ranked 15th in the overall rating of regions by artificial reforestation. It is four positions higher than the year before.

According to the rating, the region-33 is among the subjects of the Russian Federation with a high level of effectiveness of the transferred powers in the field of forest relations.
