Rospotrebnadzor Tested Vladimir’s Smoky Air for Safety

The agency said that no exceedances of maximum permissible concentrations of harmful substances have been detected

Rospotrebnadzor department in the Vladimir region conducts laboratory control of atmospheric air quality in the smoky areas. On August 24 the specialists of the department examined it for the content of pollutants, including those inherent in the combustion process: nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide.

In Vladimir, the air was tested at three control points: 7 Gorky St., Suzdal Ave. 6, Fatyanov street, 6. Also samples were taken in Sobinsky district (Cherkutino village, Tekstilshchik SNT, Filino village, Vasilievka village, Aserkhovo village, Perebor village) and in Petushinsky district (Petushki, Nagorny village, Kosterevo).

“According to the results of the study of the quality of atmospheric air no exceedances of maximum permissible concentrations of harmful (polluting) substances were found”, – reported in the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

The department promised to continue daily monitoring of the state of ambient air in the Vladimir region.

We remind that the day before Vladimir was covered with smoke from the Ryazan fires. Rospotrebnadzor recommended the citizens to go outdoors less often and monitor their well-being.
