The Department of Health of the Vladimir Region, with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, has reassured the residents of the region, explaining that there are no disruptions in the supply of drugs to Russian pharmacies and hospitals. Thus, the official authorities responded to the unverified information posted in the media. Earlier, journalists claimed that in a number of regions the acceptance and shipment of drugs to pharmacy chains had been stopped.
“The Ministry held an operational meeting with the largest pharmaceutical distributors. They assured that everything was going according to plan. In order to avoid problems with the supply, one should order drugs in advance”, – says the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The agency also said that the prices for essential medicines shall remain under government control. Such drugs are protected from inflation risks.
Rumors of uncertainty in the drug market emerged in connection with the unprecedented package of sanctions imposed by many countries of the world against Russia.
Earlier, the Russian publication Takie Delo, which specializes in NGO news and social problems, urged its readers to stock up on medicines that are produced abroad in advance. “It is possible that soon it will not be possible to buy them for any money,” the editorial said in a statement.
