A Resident Was Fined for “Discrediting” the Russian Armed Forces by Placing a Poster in His Car

The anti-war content of the proclamation drew attention in the regional center

A resident of Yuryev-Polsky will pay a fine of 30 thousand rubles in an administrative case for discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces. The relevant decision was handed down in the Oktyabrsky court in Vladimir, reported the press service.

As follows from the materials of the case, on April 7, 2022 a citizen’s car was noticed near the stop “Gastello Street” in Vladimir. On the window of the vehicle there was a piece of paper with an anti-war inscription.

A protocol was drawn up with the standard wording: “public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintaining international peace and security”.

It is reported that the citizen did not appear in court, which did not prevent him from being fined in absentia. The ruling has not entered into force.
